President Donald Trump is expected to attend when the administration's new innovation committee—a group of crypto CEOs and leaders of prediction-market and AI companies—meets at the White House on Wednesday, according to people briefed on the planning.

The chief executives of companies including Coinbase, Ripple, Gemini, Robinhood, Polymarket and Kalshi are members of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's new Innovation Advisory Committee. Before their first committee meeting on Thursday, the crypto CEOs will gather for the White House session, said the people, who asked not to be named. Participants have been told Trump is planning to attend.

The meeting is expected to be held at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building next to the White House and is intended to begin a policy dialogue in some of the leading areas of U.S. innovation. The roster was also expected to include CFTC Chairman Mike Selig and other advisers, the people said. One added that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick may attend.

White House spokespeople did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the plans.

On the industry side, leading crypto CEOs will be joined by executives from more traditional financial companies. The committee's members include the leaders of CME Group, Nasdaq and Intercontinental Exchange, among many others. Frank La Salle, head of the DTCC, is also a member.

The Thursday afternoon CFTC meeting will examine the group's innovation agenda. Its opening session is titled "Crypto's Regulatory Evolution: From Uncertainty to Clarity." One suggested topic is described as "the remaining challenges to a durable federal market structure."

The White House and Trump have been mired in the contentious debate over advancing the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act through final votes in the U.S. Senate. Further action may depend on whether the president is willing to accept tighter ethics restrictions governing his personal involvement in the crypto industry.
